Terms of Use

Welcome to Western Rainforest. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, APIs, classification models, and related infrastructure (collectively, the "Services").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or authenticating with our API (using your designated X-API-Key), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.

2. Service Description

Western Rainforest provides NLP and Edge AI classification workflows. Our services are deployed on single-tenant Google Cloud Run infrastructure. We process incoming text (including code-mixed languages like Hinglish, Tanglish, etc.), perform intent or compliance classification, and return JSON responses on the fly.

3. Client Obligations

• Lawful Use: You agree to use the API strictly for lawful purposes.
• Data Rights: While Western Rainforest does not store the data you send to us, you represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights, consent, and authority to send such data to our API for processing.
• Security Credentials: You are responsible for keeping your X-API-Key secure. You must not expose your API key in public client-side code unless explicitly using domains allowlisted via CORS origin headers.

4. Intellectual Property

All algorithms, models, underlying software, and website content (including the Western Rainforest brand, Longiflo, Rucervus, Euptilura, and Euderus Set) are the exclusive property of Western Rainforest Pvt. Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to query our APIs per your service agreement.

5. Service Availability & Limits

While our architectures are designed for sub-300ms latency and high availability, the Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We reserve the right to throttle, rate-limit, or suspend API access if we detect abusive traffic patterns or unauthorized use.

6. Region-Specific Terms & Governing Law

6.1 India Jurisdiction

For clients operating out of India or contracting with our Indian entity, these Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

6.2 United States Jurisdiction

For clients operating out of the United States or contracting with our US subsidiary/entity, these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding its conflict of law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Western Rainforest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Services, including but not limited to reliance on our classification outputs.
